Communications: Alwyn Gulzar
As the leader of communication, Alwyn Gulzar ensures that our message reaches far and wide. From managing our social media presence on Facebook and our engaging website to overseeing the safety and security of our members’ data, Alwyn keeps us connected and informed. He also has a keen eye for photography, capturing beautiful moments within our church family and beyond.
Facilities: Rodney Taylor
Rodney Taylor oversees the maintenance of our church facilities, ensuring they are fully functional and safe for all users. He brings his expertise as a mechanical engineer to this important role. Rodney runs a successful refrigeration and air conditioning import and distribution company. He plays both bass and electric guitar in our music team and has contributed his woodworking skills on many occassions.
Rodney is also a passionate cyclist.
He is supported in his efforts as Facilities Leader by Alwyn Gulzar.
Finance: Nokwazi Sithole
Nokwazi Sithole, a qualified accountant, manages the Finance Portfolio for our church. She ensures that our finances are in order, supporting various ministries and initiatives. In addition to her financial duties, Nokwazi also serves as a Sacristan.
Assisting is Rodney Taylor
Growth: Petrie Hamlyn
Petrie looks after Growth, which includes welcoming newcomers, coordinating the welcomers’ ministry, and supporting our Home and Bible Study Groups. He also offers various study courses to help people grow in their faith. With years of experience in the marketing side of the beverage industry, Petrie brings valuable insight into building strong systems and relationships — a passion he now brings into growing our church community.
Outreach: Maya Koboka
Maya Koboka is our outreach coordinator, connecting with churches, communities, and organizations in the Randburg area. She spearheads our mission efforts, coordinates activities for newcomers, organizes neighbourhood walks, and ensures that we provide support and care to those in need through visitations and partnerships. At present Maya needs volunteers to assist her with this Ministry
Outreach (Assistant): Reginah Mogole
Reginah supports Maya Koboka in the Outreach portfolio, helping to guide and grow the church’s involvement in the wider community. With her background as an Investment Analyst, she brings a thoughtful, strategic approach to planning and resource allocation — skills that are invaluable in ensuring our outreach efforts make a lasting impact where they’re needed most.
Pastoral Care: Mondo Komane
Mondo Komane, an expert in health, safety, and environmental management, leads our Pastoral Care Portfolio, which includes counseling and the Jehovah Jireh Pantry. A brave solo traveler and food enthusiast, Mondo brings her passion and expertise to her role.
She is supported by Moyra Mummery and Petrie and Leslie Hamlyn.
Worship: Ruth Stead
Ruth Stead oversees the Worship Portfolio, which includes all aspects of our church services. This encompasses the Music Team, Dance Team, Clowns & Drama, Sacristans, Sway/EasyWorship PC operators, Welcomers, Flower Arrangers, Scripture Readers, Servers, Sides people, Sound Desk, and Banner Makers.
St. Andrew’s is blessed with many talented and gifted individuals who contribute to the smooth running of our services. They help everyone feel included and welcomed, enabling a meaningful worship experience before God and the Saviour. We warmly invite anyone interested in joining any of these ministries to serve our community.
Young People: Nancy M. Muchindu
Nancy Muchindu is a businesswoman and entrepreneur, who owns a beauty products and cosmetics company called Nayoka Beauty. As a dedicated mother, she manages the Sunday School and Young People’s Portfolio, ensuring engaging and nurturing environments for our youth.
She is supported by Doreen Mayne and Carol Roodt.
